| One of the most important
aspects of creating wedding favours or table decorations
is that they are a reflection of you and your big day.
They are a wonderful opportunity to present a really personal
touch to the day, a great talking point once your guests are seated, and a chance
for your friends and family to take home something unique with
which to mark the occasion.
Making your own wedding favours or table decorations needn't be too hard. All you need are the right tools, a little time and a little inspiration. Listed below are just a few of the things we have learnt over the years at The Little Box Company...
- Why not include a little personalised 'thank you' note in the favour box itself?
- Attach your guest's names as the gift tag to the favour - stunning - and no need for place names.
- Place matching fresh flowers on top of your little boxes to create a real summer feeling and add a fresh scent to the room.
- Use two colours of ribbon overlaid on each other for that contemporary 'Love Actually' edge!
- Keep children occupied by filling the balloon weight / larger boxes with crayons, paper and puzzles. The kids will love them and their parents will be sure to thank you later!
- Fill the boxes with something a little different than sugared almonds - how about jellybeans, chocolates or even sweets you used to eat as children!
- Mix and match the colours. If your colour scheme is gold and white, have gold boxes for the men and white for the women.
- Stack the boxes as a table centrepiece instead of at each place setting.
There are many more things you can do.
Remember, it's your day and there are no rules. Hopefully you'll have found those ideas useful and maybe they've helped you think of your own.
However, if you do need more help, we are always happy to help. Contact us through the website with any questions you have and we'll get back to you and help you make your day special.
